did any one read about the sat nav system sending cars through a deep ford and cars dying and a local garage is charging them £25 to pull them out
they should buy them selves a landy

Indeed I did, saw it on the TV either last night, or this morning??
There's one in Wakefield that is a similar depth & adjacent to the main A61 between Wakefield & Barnsley.
I'm waiting for roadworks on the A61 at NewMillerDam, then I'll go & park down by the ford & wait with a tow-strap & my waders on

i made a few quid pulling cars up westeram hill kent in the snow after a brief storm a few years ago didnt charge but got plenty of donatins had a great time was 19 years old then had a good time at the pub that night to :D

Apparently the water "DEPTH" sign was fitted in the shallow part of the water

Anyone who chucks their motor into a ford, or up some dirt track, at TOMTOM's bidding wants their head looking at.
Honestly, blaming the satnav is hardly gonna cure some fool who thinks his mondeo can swim......
-
yea but how dumb are these people to follow satnav blindly like that  i read in the press that listening to the satnav could lower your brain power as it reduces the need to think for your self

a tinsy bit of common sense is required with sat nav
i dont have one cos a 1.99 AA atlas does me fine and if im not sure then streetmap or multimap and a printer will help
its only useful if you do a lot of travelling to unknown places or are bloomin useless at directions!

There was a nice bit on C4 news last night where some guy in Freelander had be sent up a lane in S.Wales. The track decended a serries of 6-8" rock steps which he went down while blindly following his Sat Nav instructions. Well- at least he was in a 4x4 (sort of) I suppose. Wonder if he'll ever take it 'froadin again........

Unlikley, Very few Ford Freelander owners do.
