went to dvla in brighton today and asked about A bars
they didnt know about if its legal or not but said that
the vehicle that is being towed must be road legal and if it sorn
then you cant tow it or put a single tyre on the public hiway
so looking for a cheap trailer now
also sent a e mail to vosa to find out if they are legal awaiting reply

Our local office said car is legally parked whilst SORN if one wheel is off ground ???
Cant believe it myself but worth checking ? :?
I knew it had to be legal to be towed.
A-Frames are for emergency recovery !
Got them side steps on yet ???

If there is nobody steering it, its not a car its a trailer that looks like a car so therefore can be sorn and have no MOT? Im thinking aloud really, im not at all sure about that! I am pretty sure though that as a trailer that is unbraked and over 750kg it is illegal. The exception to this rule is for emergency recovery, not sure a trip to pay and play would count!
