Does the Fuel Temperature Sensor ever fail?

If so what effects can it have on the running of the engine?

Don't know about he Disco but I was reading up about it with the RR, if it fails the ECU defaults to a set value, its very unlikley you would ever notice.

If you have lambda sensors it will make no difference but will register as a fault on notebook.
