Title: Door top seals.
Post by: Stormin on May 07, 2006, 19:42:37
I've got series doors on my 90 fitted with Rocky Mountain door tops.  As with standard series tops they do flex a bit. (Though not as bad as standard).  I've fitted a 1mm x 10mm wide alluminium strip between the join of top and lower half of the doors on the outer edge.  This results in the top of the door top, being pushed in against the seal and giving a good fit.  Also, if the seal was fully up on the lip under the cab roof, there was a gap.  I've fitted an extended lip, 10mm lower, and now have really good fitting door tops.  No draughts, no leaks and less wind noise. :D

Any chance of a picture of the door top in position and one open? I like the idea of a fitting door!

Oh dear! :(  Sorry chaps but I don't possess a digital camera. (or any kind of camera)  I'll be at Driffield on the Sunday, so I may be able to get some kind soul to take a piccie or two. Then learn how to post them on here.     If any of you are there, the 90 will be on the S111 club stand all being well.  Two tone green with white roof, van body, with North Lakes 4x4 Club along the roof sides.
