Title: shock service life?
Post by: smith335 on May 09, 2006, 16:21:30
how long do shocks last for?

my td5 disco has done 80k and is still on the same shocks.
i ask as the ride seems to be getting worse just lately.

it hates pot holes , if you put a front wheel down one it seems to shake its head , and if a rear one goes down one it make more of a bump than normal. seems as if theres not much damping going on.

but on a smooth road its fine, nice and smooth.

any ideas?

Could be worth getting your bushes looked at?  :?

I'm not the best to ask, but know they can have a larger effect than you might think.

im guessing bottom front shock bushes will be non existent, thats a really common fault on the disco 2's & can cause the above problems on the front
