Title: More problems

The rear axle on my 90 appears to have significant corrosion around the seam on the back of the axle casing - new axle time?

Do you mean the Diff Pan? If so they are replaceable, it involves cutting the old one off and welding on a new one. There is an article showing how to do it in the "Spring 2006" issue of LROi.

No idea how difficult it is myself, as I don't do welding.

The diff pan is ok, it is the horizontal seam each side of the pan in teh middle of the axle that seems to be the problem.

  I though £150 was cheap, but then I've owned a Lotus for the past 8 years so everything for the landy is cheap compared to that!
