just been on the the phone to frogs island and thier first price for a cv joint for a disco 1 was over £120 they said they can probably do it for a lot less but ive just looked on paddocks and they are £24 plus vat, only problem is i need it today and im in the oxford area
-
Just be carefull as there are 2 different types for the disco's.
You will need to find out which one you need and from the prices quoted..........the £124 is the newer one with the short output shaft the fits in the hub flange on..........the older type dont have any fixed shafts on them.
Hope this makes sence.

mines the older one without the shaft, ive just spoken to frog island again and they have said that is the one they quoted for but they said they could probably do it for £80 which is still a lot more than £24
-
I bought one recently from a local lr place (local to me, not you!) for £36, I thought that was over the odds but I needed it in a hurry....
-
unfortunally i need it today as im to to france on saturday and me and 5 mates are relying on the disco taking us the 600 miles there and 600 miles back
-
I have 2 in an axle but they will be second hand.
-
dont buy the £24 ones cos they are ***** buy a GKN or equiv type if you want to buy new,if not get a 2nd hand one out a motor
-
ive been checking mine due to a strange noise, see thread clicking noise . anyhow i was also told to watch the cheaper ones .iff your going to do some serious milage pay the extra it'll be worth it . i found prices between 24 and 160 pound crazy eh . alan.....

beware of the cheaper ones, the quality isnt always so good.
