-
yep i know its a tdi and they all do that .
it just seems to do it more than others and it annoys me .
oh well suppose i could just fit a v8 and that would fix it!
-
And increase ya Fuel Bill
Unless you Gas it??
I know what you mean by being anoying..but i kinda like it ...dunno really...i suppose it says " Land Rover""..and i love em smokers or not

i love it cos u instantly no its a tdi fitted  and proud of it

no probs with the engine it goes very very well.
as for redex it always gets millers when i fuel up.
and the motor is serviced every 3000 miles it wants for nothing.
the only thing thats not been serviced is the injection pump so i think that will be next just to see if that will sort it.
-
Millers is great i use that...but just dont put it it all the time as the Engine in part becomes to rely on it so to speak...
-
i think its just more noticeable to me because i have a side exit exhaust .
when i start it up all i see in the nearside mirror if a great cloud of guff.
maybe if i went back to a satndard exhaust it might be better? who knows
:? :? :?
-
i'd just say leave it, it makes me proud :P

I just happen to know where a V8 (3.9) from A discovery with an LPG kit may be going for grabs. better than those nasty Diesel jobs.

Philbert, your not the only one with a black smoke problem  , I too get it and am very self concious about it, especially when theres a group of little old ladies fighting to escape the black cloud of fumes as i start it outside the paper shop ( they momentarily loose all sight as its so thick and black).
