My brother is about to part ex his pegeot 106 m reg and i am interested in selling it on to a mate of mine as he is interested in it as a present for his girlfriend. I have noticed it has oil in the radiator water. Just little blobs of oil. what does this mean? I dont want to sell a car to a mate if it is about to go majorly wrong.

Could be a blown head gasket or a crack in the cylinder head?

its a petrol. done 88k miles.
Dip stick was shiny and no water to be seen in rad either.
I phoned up garage to cancel mot and they said they will look if it is head gasket or not. If it is they wont mot it and if it isnt they will mot it. they are quiet a good garage as my rover goes there a fair bit so I am on first name terms with them all and get alot of freebies in the way of oil etc!!

I would PX it and hope to never ever see it again. Pugs eat head gaskets, and it seems once they start thats it. Friend of the family wnet through two head gasgets and 3 engines before he forced the garage to take it back. And this was a 70 year old man so it wasnt being ragged.
