Bought me a Series III diesel for playing with. Nice little pick up with nearly new canvas. Character making dents, dings and missing paint. Only 34000 miles on the clock although....... the MOT of a year ago also states exactly the same mileage as when I just bought it. Broken speedo cable now replaced.
I've got a set of 235/70/16 on Range rover alloys, I know the alloys wont fit but would the tyres fit on standard Series rims. Or am I better of selling the 235's completely in favour of something else.
-
The 235's will go on standard LWB and 90 rims. That is the (5.5 inch ones) as the SWB (5 inch) will pnch the tyre too much. It is said that the 5.5's are too close and idealy 6 inch rims should be used. But i have 235/70R16 on standard 90 steels and it is fine.
BTW nice truck.

I'd suggest checking what width wheel the manufacturer of the tyre specifies, as it will be this that would be considered by an insurance assesor if the worst happened. BFG for instance specify a minimum wheel width of 6" for their MT.

New tyres & rims, a paint brush and some pint, and finally some time would bring that Landy up nicely. :D

you can get a set of 4 modular wheels and 4 MT for about £400 or so.

Thanks for the replys. I guess i'll look around for a spare set of rims for the Muds to go on and try it that way.

The rims you have are they the 5" rims or the larger rims (wishful thinking).
