Hi all
I am after a lightbar to go above the window on my S3 that is having a truck cab on it.
Anyone know of any suppliers of such things or does anyone know if a 90/110 one will or can be made to fit
Failing that can somone with one take me some decent photos of the mountings looking at the pics on the net and in mags its not out side my scope of fabrication I think if I can get my hands on the tube anyone know the specs for the tubeing.
All the best guys
Paul

Hi Mark thats what im thining
Iv got designs for a cage and roof rack mounting point, and yup you know my plans for the vehicle so should looke a bit different lol.
Were did you get your one from or is it just a roof bar with lights bolted on
-
i just bolted the lights through the roof onto a bit of 1.5" flat bar inside (for strength).
-
ahhhhh dont really fancy that had a look at one of a disco today down the garage but no one has one of a 90 or series so not had chance to get up cloas and personal with one.
Im sure something will present itself I know of one for sale but really only need the bar itself iv got enough spots etc than I can shake a stick at
-
iam not botherd about drilling the old girl, but if i was you, i would make a bar and mount to the sills on each side.
-
so fat thats the plan.
if nothing comes up then there is always the cage i have designed for it its nothing to make some brackets up its only 2 bends and a hole and a bit of welding so they can always be fitted to that
im no were ready for it just trying to plan ahead one of the probs I have now is waiting for bits and not having much to do so im trying to make sure that dosnt happen to much.
going for my paint and truck cab on saturday a nice 278 mile round trip according to the sat nav lol should keep me busy for a few hours
Them hinges by the way have cleaned up nice had a quick coat of paint but going to give them another and flat back and picked up some pan head alen bolts to fit them onto the bonnet as apposed to stainless bolts that rust after 2 mins so little things are getting done.
All the best Mark and thanks again for the help had a scan through your pics looks like the old girl is getting there hope mine looks half that good once if done something you can see ill fire of some more pics and sort the gallerys out.

Hi guys
Thanks for all the thoughts guys
I have had a look at the truck cab I picked up and although it has a few dents and marks on it there is nothing that wont knock out or repair easyily so id rather not go drilling holes in it.
one of the plans was to take some mounts of a roll cage or put a proper bar on it.
oh well as most things im sure something will pop up at some point so will hang on and see what turns up.
All the best guys take care out there
Paul
