Title: Headlights will not go out
Post by: Kenny on May 18, 2006, 12:11:55
Strange this one, all of a sudden I cannot get my lights to turn off without removing the fuse.

I disconnected the switch on the steering column and they remain on. If I disconnect the voltage regulator thingy bob behind the instrument cluster they go out.

Can't find a relay ?

Any clues what could be the problem, could it be the voltage transformer as when I disconnect that the lights go out. ? It is a 1989, 2.5 NA

Is there a dim/dip relay? I had this problem on a Hyundai I bought for a friend and it was the dim dip relay on that car.

I suspect the 'voltage regulator thingy' (!) is actually the relay.

Disconnected the thingy from that watcha ma flip and the lights went out and now work quite normally, well as normal as a ninety lights does.
