We've got 245.70.16 Colway A/T's on ours with a 2" lift and standard alloys. There is a bit of room to go bigger still if we wanted to.
If you fancy a bit of a drive to get a good deal try Riverside All Terain at Boston or Sleaford 4x4 (at Sleaford if you hadn't guessed). They don't actually fit them as far as I know, but they are very reasonably priced and it might be worth the drive up the A17.

235x85R16 will fit but even with a +2" lift you may need to trim the arches.

265x75R16 sould do but it's getting a bit on the wide side for the the 7Jx16 wheels and will effect the turning circle of the Disco.

285x75R16 are nearly 2 inches wider than the wheel so I would look at something wider than the standard wheel for these. Plus these are 33" dia and will effect the gearing!!

For more ideas have a look at this site (http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/tires.html).

Here is a good site for discovery tyre size guidence (been posted on here before several times by others)

http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/tires.html

It doesn't have the sizes your asking about but similare sizes will give you an idead of what your in for.

According to BFG (tyre size charts on their website), 285 tyres will require a 7.5 inch rim or wider, so disco rim at 7 inchs IIRC is too small by a fraction, but the 265 width should fit OK.

Here's mine with 265/75/16 BFG Muds

Required a Camel cut on the rear arches

Turning circle reduced very slightly, but I've not found it a problem
