Hi
My 110 Defender doors are rough so I would like to replace them. I have read that s111 doors fit and are less prone to corrosion, does this go for all 4 doors or just fronts? What is the downside of this swop?

Down side would be sliding windows- plus side you could take the door tops off in the summer !

may also require lock fittings changing?
(If pre 'Anti-Burst' locks fitted to donor doors)

I've fitted series front doors to my 90. Passenger side is a S11 bottom half with S11 handle and no key lock. Thimble lock inside. Drivers door bottom is S111 with key lock. The striker plates on the body had to be changed, but easy to do. The door tops are Rocky Mountain with the double sliding windows. Similair to military 90's but the glass is not sloped. For me there is no down side. With the front window open, you get good ventilation, air inside gets sucked out, so no draughts. Also it cost a fraction of the cost of replacing two knackered 90 doors, locks and window winding mechanism. :D BTW, the check straps are SJ410.

Like the sound of removing the tops in summer.
sliding windows I can cope with.
What about interior trim, is there any? if not is it much noisier?

With the mods to the top seals etc I've mentioned in the series section, wind noise is reduced. You can/could fit the delux door panels off an S111 County model. I'm fitting light gauge alli chequer plate to mine, with bubble wrap type loft insulation between panel and door.

Depending on the interior "trim" - youo may find that the Series door are slightly thinner than the Defender doors and give a little bit more leg room.
Also, I had to replace the window lifting mechanism on mine last weekend, as it'd just rotted away! -cost £15+VAT per side (Craddocks) for new mech and rubber for windows. So sliding windows sound a bonus!
