As disco TD5's have climate control....is it possible to fit it to a 90, and if so what would i need to do so?
(Note climate control, not plain A/C which is er...pants!)

My 90 has got climate control. There are two levers on the dashboard that open the flaps in the bulkhead allowing whatever climate you are driving in to enter the entire cab!

LOL - yes i've got that primative climate control too. Was just thinking about somthing more, er, advanced :)

Don't think it would be possible as the climate on a Discovery II has several sensors/controls that are integrated with various ECU's and BCU's.

Shame, i was under the impression that a TD5 ecu was a TD5 ecu, essentially the same??

for the engine in theory yes
ecu's for everything else no...

Could the ECu, sensors and bits not be aquired tho - i know the controls and other bits regually come up on ebay?

Mine has AirCon, if that'll do you, I've seen companies offering to retro fit it.

I gather the air con is er...not particually good, according to people i know who have it, hence why i was wanting climate, because it generally a much better system and in my other vehicles its a god send :)

Well in the 110, I can cool front seats down, pretty quick even in the worst summers heats. In the TD5 disco it's crap (or atleast the ones I've driven are). So I guess in a 90 it's cool the entire vehicle rather well. I like it, it's great when your out in the backing sun to get back into a cool vehicle.
