Bit of a query really.
kinda interested to know if any other def owners suffer the same problem of losing their mud-flaps?
mums def has prob gone through half dozen in the past 3yrs...
one goes and she replaces it and the next thing the other side has gone, shes currently missing the passanger side flap.
so yeah just wondered if its just mums car or kind of a common problem.

I would have lost them if i didnt take them off and throw them down the side of the shed. Pointless things they are, just get ripped off offroad.
-
The only ones i see round here with mud flaps are fairly new vehicles, most don't have any. I wouldn't fit any to Trug for the reason mention by Jim-Willy......they get ripped off when off roading.
"Yes guys.... I know that they can be tied up out of the way".
-
Hmm, i've got some on mine and as yet have not managed to rip them off, they do however make some nasty noises when going down rock steps and the likes!!
-
mums def is more work and dog walking orintated rather than off-roading...
maybe i should tell her just to take the other one off then and leave it at that.!
-
is she losing them or are they being taken

Great, i have just ordered a brand new set of Mudflaps from the UK for my new 110!!
I never realised that this was an issue on them, but should have realised when i bought the landy, and there was just 4 bits of ripped rubber hanging by the wheels!
I dont do a huge amount of off roading, so i should be ok..

mums doesnt do any and they come off... :?

Just lost another rear one. Do stop mud and stones being chucked up at the car behind on a 90. I find them a bit long and easy to tear. Looking at fitting after market rally style that are a bit stronger.
No problems with the front ones yet. :)

probably better of getting some kaylan & making flaps from that (stuff the rally teams use)
