Ages ago i took Ace Of Spades out of my car as a couple of times i noticed how damned fast i drove with it on. Recently i was leading a convoy when Doctor Doctor by UFO came on, when it had finished i noticed i had lost the convoy as they couldnt keep up. Born To Be Wild is another that creeps up on Me........ Is it just Me or do You all suffer with this and what are the Songs?

When I play anything by the Shadows I always struggle with the words
-
Try Griegs 'In The Hall Of The Mountain King', its' from the 'Peer Gynt' suite (reminds me of an old joke  )
It starts off slow & gets faster........
Some of you may know it from either 'Fantasia', or the TV adverts for Alton Towers
'Sabre dance' by Khatachurian. A band covered it in the early 70's called LoveSculpture.
Now that was fantasic lead-guitar playing/
No points at all for whoever knows the guitarist, or has also heard it??

To take the thread title literally, there's a 'Wiggles'* CD in, or there was yesterday afternoon, whilst I was in charge of 'Small-Child'
* A bunch of Aussie kids performers
-
a bunch of minted aussie performers you should say (missus said they are millionaires due to the wiggles thing!)
-
Wiggles rule :)

Got to agree with Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell. Also Guns 'n' Roses, Marillion, Bon Jovi, U2.
I've also been known to have Hayseed Dixie's Let There be Rockgrass album in the car. They have a slightly different version of songs such as Ace of Spades, Centrefold, Walk This Way, Fat Bottom Girls.

Suicidal Tendencies' 'You can't bring me down' had to go, not because it made me drive faster but because of the looks I got when I had it going full blast in the morning pay-and-display at the roundabout with the windows down - and singing along to it :o
-
Pantera 'far beyond driven' starts fast and just gets faster, before you know it you've got a speeding fine and all the local 5-0 know your car. Sold the defender and bought a disco that'll fox 'em.
-
guns and roses paradise city thats pretty dangerous for me lol vroooom wat was that ?? "it was a traffic light dear"

That reminds me of when my mum was teaching and was driving my golf reguarly, driving into the school carpark with the subwoofer turned up.
As has always been the case, not all music produced is good, even the stuff from the 'good old days' was not all great. On this pholosophy, try some of the new dance/clubing music, some of it can realy get the adrenaline pumping.

Voodoo people by Prodigy, especially the remix by Pendulim....

Now you have posted this how long before the Chief Constable of North Wales calls for us to only have "Combine Harvester" by the Wurzles as the only music to drive to !!!!!

Dave Edmunds?
Certainly was :D
What a brilliant guitar player, he did that in one take with no overdubs as as far as I know.
He also produces for people like Nick Lowe & The Stray Cats (also did their first LP & played on thier cover of the George Jones track; 'The Race Is On')
On the subject of British rockers.
Do you know of Mark Harman, he plays in a band called Restless who are signed to Nervous Records (http://www.nervous.co.uk/)
& cut albums like; Why Don't You Just Rock!?' (http://www.nervous.co.uk/gindex.htm)
I'll happily play Edmunds, George Jones, Stray Cats & Restless in the 110 anytime
And as for the Dixie Chicks :(biglove):
-
anything by zz top seems to make me do a little too fast

Is that the original or the remix?
The remix has a decent beat to it! (will never compete with the likes of AC DC etc, but not bad)! :D
Sorry, I'm guilty of being a Wurzels fan!
-
Mine would have to be Pat Benator - All fired up. As soon as i hear that guitar start my right foot goes down all the way on the loud pedel. :D
-
THE ROLLING STONES - SATISFACTION 8) (ALWAYS MAKE ME THINK OF ARNIE SCHWARTZAWATZIT KICKING THE SCREEN OUT OF A CADILAC IN - I THINK IT WAS RED HEAT. CLASSIC)
OR AS BEZZA SAID THE PRODIGY, BUT DIESEL POWER.
-
When the sun is shining and the windows are down, Summertime, by Will Smith makes me drive slower!
It's that chillin' out feelin'
-
Angel of Death by Slayer is a dead cert to get me sat on the limiter.....
-
Suicidal Tendencies' 'You can't bring me down' had to go,
Oh, good track, there! As soon as Mr Muir breaks into his stride, you just gotta drop a cog and drop the hammer.
Ministrys 'Jesus Built My Hot Rod' kinda gets the heart to the legal limit as will NINs, prehaps all too apt, 'Mr Self Destruct'. I'll confess to Copperhead Road doing the do, an' all.
Oddly, 'Inertia Creeps' by the always understated Massive Attack also has the potential to 'score points'. Thankfully I'm not, by nature now, a hooligan so it's all a bit subjective. However when I'm on the start line, sat next to Wolfie, one of two songs is going through my head. Either 'So do I' as sung by Christie Moore, or NINs 'Piggy' - it must be that 'nothing can stop me now bit'.
Funny old world, innit?
cheers

Banning music in cars, now there's one for 'em to latch on to!!!
Hawkwind...............it's sort of fast in a chilled out sort of way?!! Oh, and don't play 'Speed King' by Deep Purple if you want to keep your lisence!
