Post by: rollazuki on June 02, 2006, 22:07:37
Maybe we should have a constant thread for searching for old/loved/precious vehicles.
(mebbe its been done before, I dunno)
If you have a car that you would like to find the history of, post the reg plate up and see what the community can do.....?

Ill kick off, me old landy   HOP659N

you could try here
http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/
then click on enquiry
If it comes back on the liability date as 'not available' it probably means it has been scraped.
Sorry denviks

You will never believe this!  I actualy saw L44 AMJ in Birkdale, Southport today!  Black disco, steering guard fitted.

Looking good but it flew past before I could reach for the camera phone!   At least yours still lives!  :D:D

What are the odds of that?  I didnt for one minute expect to see it, was a joke more than anything!

Now then folks, get looking for my series 3!

I just looked up our first Land Rover on that DVLA link - a blue/cream series 2 109" hard top from 1964 AAU 64B only it's green now apparently!
Remember going on lots of family holidays in that to Dorset sitting on a wooden bench our dad made to fit across the back.

yeh by chance i was perusing the glass pages and then the lancashire glass pages and lo and behold, my old motor stuck whilst laning.. at least its been put to good use, and the stickers it was sold with are still on there.

there was no steering guard when i sold it, i sold that separately.
