Doesnt look too bad from those angles !
-
Doesn't look too bad from any Angle, really think I got a bargain. Chassis, Bulkhead and 90% of the body panels are rock solid.
-
repaint the wheels a bit of hammerite on the galvinised parts and she will look a million bucks :D
-
Well done David, looks good!! :D
Jeff

Thank you, give me some time and I'm hoping to make him look even better. Good thing about 110s is the 06 Plate Defenders look no different, so a little work and I could have him looking much newer.
-
Thats right David, they aint really changed for 25 years!!

Thinking black grille + Light surrounds, some clear Lights and a general spruce up for now wheels, bit of chassis is surface rust ect.
One more... and he's got a sidelight out :(

Right that's it!
Hands up all those who think it ought to be named 'Jack'?
As in Jack Hackett (drunken Priest in Father Ted)

I thought all motors, bikes, trucks etc. were female (she), or are LRs different?

Well I call mine a part of womens body when I cant get a bolt undone and cut myself

Can be either, male or female - I just named mine on behalf of the date we collected it.

I'm not too keen on the stainless ones tbh, I think the matt black ones look way cooler (and I'm hoping someone will have a black set lying in the back of there garage after they did the stainless conversion ;))
Cheers,
David.

i wish mine chugged along at 55, the only time my gets up to 55 is going down hill
-
He was wanting to go more, dad kept looking down and the speedo was approaching 60, reckon on a good go we'd get 75 at a lot of noise and distubance. Engines sweet as anything.
-
how much did u pay for it, if u dont mind me asking?
matt
-
Little under £2000, bargain of the century in my books.
And matt, I tried adding your MSN but it says that it doesn't exist.

that is a bargain
-
It's not completley perfect - Got 5 or 6 jobs that want doing (See Defender Section) but for the money I'm more than happy. the 19J, for all people saying they self destruct at over 100k miles manages to fire on the second turn of the engine EVERY time.
-
i paid £1800 for the series and hav had loads of problems with it, then a mate of one bought one for £750 and has no problems with it
-
Thats the thing with Green oval, half of it is the luck of the draw. I know someone who payed £4k for a 110 Defender TDi, now he's having to spend an additional 2.5k to get the Chassis and fuel tank replaced. I spend under £2k and get a minter for a 17 year old.
-
the only problems my mate has had wiv his is his own fault coz he was told not to take it though some thck muddy water which i did it any way and kill his engine, and guess how much he got a new engne for.

People paid a lot mor money for colour cordinated Grills, light surrounds and wheelarch eyebrows - it's only done on CSW's not the standard vehicles
-
Well... anyone got a Blue Defender/90/110 with black surrounds that is willing to swap?
