Does anyone know the maximum towing capacity for a 300tdi disco?

legally its 3.5 ton on a braked trailer

4.5t if u got air brakes  :wink:

Running the recovery buisness i use a 3.5tonne max gross trailer and with a disco/110 on it you know its there.........but as its braked there isnt much of a problem........untill you hit the big climbs  :cry:

Yes, quite feasible.
Yet another reason why Police forces use Rangies & Discoverys in the motorways. cars & vans can be  dragged away no matter how crumpled they are, or even if they're on the roof.
I've moved about 25tons with mine (Disco on road & 6x4 tanker on grass verge)
Sure it pulled me sideways as the strap tensioned, but it got the truck off at the first attempt

They do, but, not very quickly you can be assured of that  :lol:
For safety brakes, steering & suspension all need to be top-notch
