Title: unhappy disco
Post by: discomummy on June 13, 2006, 20:51:51
Hi,

am currently sobbing into large glass of red wine after sliding into to the back of a car.  disco is in a bad way due to the roo bar going back and up, inserting both aerials into the bonnet (which is now jammed shut), breaking ALL my light protectors, smashing the rego number (which is still on and readable)......i cannot believe the amount of damage considering i was braking and not going at all fast but i suppose the inertia of the vehicle on a greasy road....the gentleman i hit was surprisingly pleasant despite a large grubby disco in the back.

sob,

ela

Glad you are OK
I know its easy to say after the fact but when you repair either leave roo bar off or make sure you use good quality HT bolts with plenty of copper grease

I did that this december past...
15 mph as well....
suprising how much damage you can really do...
but in the end... it is only a piece of metal...
but sorry to hear it anyway...

Hi,

All are well, kids were dead excited about being involved in an accident, only thing hurt was my pride,

Nah, it still looks awful this morning, spoke to hubby in Sweden last nite, whose only comment was that i ALWAYS had to do something traumatic whilst he was away , but not to worry - the beloved disco would get fixed.

regards

ela
