Is there some prevailing sense?! At least this suggestion is based on something tangible like emissions.
It would also, presumably effect, large cars, sporty vechicles, vans and trucks etc...
We'll see!

Agreed, and I only work there...gave up with living in London a while ago. I don't like the suggestion - just nice to see that it is at least something that has some (un)reasonable grounds.

I have my doughts.
lets face it large cars, sporty vechicles, vans and trucks fit in with the anti's world view that we are evil and all drive huge gass guzzling death traps that feed on the souls of small children.
Pus most of the anti's actualy drive these type of car etc which makes them jelious of our motors

"The group says it could reduce polluting vehicles by up to 40% and raise £34m a year to spend elsewhere"
I wonder if this is a case of statistical massage? Surely, the more 'polluting vehicles' you take out of London, the less revenue is raised? I suspect the actual phrase should be up to 40% OR raise £34m a year.
