a while back i recived an award for best motor vehicle apprentice to which i recieved a glass trophy thing & a certificate,
Well previous to that i had entered a competition in which i was against other people from different colleges,well that time i finished 4th,
This time however i finished 2nd,collecting £100 prize money & a paid meal etc,
However i am rather miffed i missed 1st place & £150 by 1 point :evil: :evil:

Unlucky mate but hopefully you will find something better soon. You were on about low wage & unpaid overtime the other day so you are probably better off somewhere new.

I agree, looks like some garage somewhere will inherit a good mech, wish you lived down here

reason ive been given is that "the garage cant afford to pay a full mechanics wage",where as a apprentices one is subsidised by the government
so not to pleased :evil:

Sorry to hear that Mike - fairly typical of employers who use (abuse) apprentices - happens all the time so don't feel picked on
Mate of mine runs a garage in Dunoon - I can have a word if you fancy moving to the posh side of Scotland ! :wink:

Mike - I don't know what the market is like for mechanics in Scotland, but we are crying out for them down here!
My dad had a real struggle finding suitable applicants when he was last looking.
Unfortunately he's sold the garage now, so I can't directly help!

am on the look out localy for a job for you too mike. i said to dingbro dave to keep an eye out and i'l have a word with snap-on and mac tools when they come in. pitty i didnt have the money to start up ma self. i get a bit sick of having a boss at times and i know how well you work out in the field (fixing that hub on sunday)
