Subject: : Important READ AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
:
Warning READ AS SOON AS POSSIBLE/
Get this sent around to your contacts ASAP...we don't need this spreading
around.....
PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS:
You should be alert during the next days:
Do not open any message with an attached filed called
"Invitation"
regardless of who sent it .
It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which "burns" the whole hard disc
C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your
e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail
to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to
receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a mail called "invitation", though sent by a friend,do not
open it and shut down your computer immediately.
This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by
Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet
for this kind of virus.
This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the
vital information is kept.
SEND THIS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW, COPY THIS E-MAIL AND SEND IT TO
YOUR FRIENDS AND REMEMBER: IF YOU SEND IT TO THEM, YOU WILL BENEFIT ALL OF
US

As with pretty much every 'virus warning' you recieve in your email. This is a hoax virus.
The viral part of a hoax virus is the warning message getting passed on...
so by posting it here you just propagated it!, in effect infecting those of us who read it!. When you get rubbish like this just delete it!

Thats your choice! You don't have to read it!
Apart from to get your daily Fix of MC And interfere in other peoples lives!!!
And when you end up with a Crippling Virus! Tough Because you don't heed warnings!
Now don't waste my precious time!

OK, before this descends any further...
It is well worth checking with someone like Sophos to see if any given virus warning is a known hoax before passing anything on.
The link posted by Pete above is usually reasonably up to date with things.
It is not unknown for the virus warning message to actually contain the trojan / virus itself, which gets propagated through people forwarding it to their friends with the best intentions.
Quite often, the message itself is just junk mail... a bit like the old chain letters... I've still never quite managed to work out the point of these.
As Tuftee says, caution is by far the best response and it is reckless to just glibly ignore the threats from trojans and virii.. unfortunately, there is often a threat from the messages themselves, which is why a quick check for known hoaxes is worthwhile.

Thankyou Tim! As always you have a better way of getting the point over!
Than i have?
And all i done was Copied and pasted the Text of the Message!
