As we seem to be having a trip down memory lane at the moment - can you remember the 1st record you bought :wink:

mine was Showaddywaddy - Under the moon of love in 1976 :oops:

er....this might sound odd, but it was the Pastoral (symphony no 6) by Beethoven......followed closely by lots of Rimsky Korsakov....and after that - mostly folk music.

I think the first "pop" album I bought was "complete madness" ;-)

Nothing odd about Beethoven or Rimsky Korsakov.. listened Grieg (Peer Gynt), Wagner, Sibelius, Holst, Tchaikovsky and so many others long before I had a real 'chart'  single.... ( culture.. as supplied by daddy.. )

And still do...



Along with Motorhead, Maiden, Led Zep etc  :twisted:

first singles on vinle were, kylie-locomotion and alice cooper-poison.(i was confused)

but the first album was, bonjovi-new jersey, meatloaf-deadringer, and transvision vamp-velvatine.

The first music that struck me (after emerging from the family taste of The Beatles) was Electro and Breakdance.
My first record was Newcleus - Jam On It on 12"
It must have been about 1981
Its still a great record and gets a listen every know and then
 :D

Some really intresting stuff. The first album i can remember waiting to come out was Slayer , reign in blood...awesome
I think the first album i bought was Iron Maiden but i can think which one...weird that.

1st tape album... one by the "Police".

1st vinyl single... "Fr*&&*^ in the riggin".

I then woke up a few years later and discovered heavy metal.
