Have I bought the wrong shocks. I paid £99.00 for a set of 4 monroe gas shocks but reading all the info in the forums no body even mentions monroe .Have i dropped a big one :? :?
-
No Dave,
You haven't dropped a big one, I've got Monroe gas shocks on mine and they are fine, they made a big difference over the OEM ones anyway.

I've also got Monroe's on the Rangie and they are fine.
People tend to talk about ProComp's a lot on here because they are good quality shocks at a good price but that doesn't mean all the other makes of gas shocker are bad.
Koni, Bilstein, De Carbon & Rancho shocks are all good.

I replaced Monroe shocks on mine a while back with ProComp . . . . but only because I wanted the extra travel and the fancy stickers
Had no problems whatsoever with the standard length Monroes

Thanks guys,very reasuring. :D

Had them on my disco for nearly two years, its a heavy motor but they cope with it lovely

ONE thing, and one thing only that can ruin an otherwise very good shocker is that the rear shaock suffer from the eye opening up when used, shall we say enthusiastically? not hard, just enthusiastically. Otherwise a very good shock by all accounts.
