well we got the disco in the workshop at work  today and started to strip the head off  and this is what we thound

nowt wrong with No1 piston going by the pick,mine look like that after you clean the carbon build up of them

we gona put a new head on and see what it dose from there

If the bore is scored you may not get much compression on that one, might need a rebore and piston+rings

its my dads copany car and it had a noise comeing from the engine and we took the head of and on the head the injectors are silver and we thound this

what sort o noise was it making?

if the bore is scored not much pint in putting the head back down

I could sell you a nice engine--  it comes in a lovely blue box with 5 doors and  electric opening things?? :lol:

from past experences i wouln't bother putting the head back on util you've sorted the bottom end out properly
its not worth your time and effort if the bottom end is goosed

funny you posted this last night,ive got a disco comercial that lookes just like that on my ramp at work,got to put the head back down tommorow morning & then finish of the rest o the work (service) to do to it

na,other mech is away to turkey for next 2 weeks so workin all the hours o the day,so goin to wales on the 28th when i finish up
