Recently changed all the suspension on my 1996 defender and polybushed it whilst i was at it. Now the steering has developed a rather noticeable wobble at 40-45 it will cease when pushed through this speed. Is it because
A) i have been a clumsy git and managed to knock all the balance weights off the wheels or
B) is it more likely to be the steering damper :?:

It could be one of many things and only showing now because the suspension has been done.
Steering damper is one to look at but also check:
Track rod ball joints
Tyre balance
Tyre pressures
Wheel bearings
Swivel housing pre-load
Steering box backlash

Cheers Budgie i will get the overalls on tomorrow

mine went like that after changin the tyres round, havin knackered front bushes didnt help so rebushed the front end (radius arms & pan hard rod) & it wasnt as bad but still there, got the wheels balanced & 140g on each wheel later theres just a tiny wee vibration
