Renault 11 1.4 Auto

4 Days old and lost 3rd gear
5 Days old lost Reverse unless I let the box cool down
6 Days old, half the electrics packed up including the central locking (No mechanical locks so couldnt lock/unlock it) and the gearbox died.
7 Days, new gearbox ECU and it worked ok till week 2
Week 3 new gearbox and gearbox ECU fitted
Week 5, while cruising on the M3, outside lane, just over 75 passing Fleet ,gearbox decides what I really really need was to go into reverse.

Gearbox toast, engine toast (Bent con rods, snapped crankshaft, mounts torn off, bolts mounting engine to tranny sheared. both CV joints stripped, wishbones buckled, disc buckled, wishbone mounts torn off on one side, the list goes on, actually had two bolts from an engine mount put 1/2" dents in the bulkhead they were torn out with that much force.

Could never get hold of the guy from the day it started acting up, private sale so nothing I could do. Guys at the local Auto specialist drained the fluid and changed the filter and found sawdust in there, a common trick with bad autos so I'm told.

I bought a Mini van.  I got a phone call from Essex police a couple of weeks later asking me where the van was at that moment.  I told them it was outside the yard.  they told me not to touch or move it, they would eb with me very soon.  Withing 30 mins there was acar transporter outside and they took the van away.

Turned out it had been used to dispose of a body after a murder.

Triumph Stag with original 3.0 V8

Superb car but loads of cunnigly concealed rot that I couldn't afford to fix at the time so my fault, not the car's.

I was young and impulsive

Nothing changes

I watched it, it was first shown about a year ago.

The car dealer selling from out side the Land Rover Dealer's still is, and blocks off a Lay by in Cowdray Avenue plus others.

The So called scrap dealer is a work shop and vehicle recovery Co and is still trading, the cars that were so called MOT tested were checked over by the RT mechanic and taken to bits to find the leaking brakes etc which is not allowed by an MOT tester.

I know of the garage where the test's took place they are strict and have a good reputation locally, they suffered most as VOSA gave them a warning, basically even a small mistake (or someone trying to stitch them up) will cost them dearly.

The RT presenters annoy me, why all the missing about? Surly it should be taken seriously.

Worst car I have bought is my F reg 110.

There is nothing wrong with it, but as it's the only car I've bought it's my worst (and my best!) :)
