I’m after a puller to remove the crank pulley on a 300tdi disco, has any body used these from Machine mart, they look a bit cheap but if they do the job who cares!
-
Should be ok for the pulley (I have used one on a FT pulley)but if you need to take off the crank timing gear you'll need 3 extra bolts (cant remember what size they are though)
-
i have just made one from a gearbox flange off a dumper truck
there should be no prob as long as some twonk hasnt lock tighted the pully on the crank only had the disco off the road for 4 days

As long as it's not that famous Korean brand 'snap-a-lot'

Thanks for that will pick one up next week.
Out of interest why do you need to drain the coolant to do the timing belt on a 300TDI?
With the belt and pulleys removed there is plenty of room to get the front plate off.
