A man of my own heart.
Im also a Keen Angler, Shooter and Greenlaner.
I live 30 seconds from the beach, so i do Beach, Boat, Carp and Coarse angling. I also Shoot twice a week, with Precharged Air Rifles. I like the Stealthliness of them. :)

Yep, Salmon & Sea Trout season up here!! :D
Both of us have our season tickets for the salmon river in Stornoway.
Also brown trout & anything that wants to put itself on the end of my hook when I go sea fishing in the winter months.

used to fish for anything when i was younger but been mainly a carp angler for the last few yrs. currently fishing a low stocked res pic of my pb carp is 26.4 known as the big linear and the other is the chestnut mirror at 26.2 2 of the 3 fish i had last yr if you get 2 your doing well lost another 2 due to crap hooks. the current stock is around 45 carp in 90 acres its a challenge of will power lol
My pb pike is 21lb 4oz
pics are a bit poor as i took pictures on my phone of the photos that are on 35mm film

used to be a carp and pike angler, but sold all my gear when the kiddies were born, dont get the time now.
-
my grandauter went fishing today and caught a 3lb lobster and she got £15 from the fish shop and she is only 10 yrs old
i dont like to fish myself to slow
-
i try and do 1 or 2 night sessions every other week as well as getting out laning.
-
Here is a picture of my 12Yr Old Stepson. This was his first Carp, and he caught it on his first trip out with me. It was 14lb. Hence now he wants to go all the time. Thing is, all the time he catches these, im reluctant to take him. :)

You'll need to buy it all again soon- took my oldest lad (aged 7) out fishing this morning he caught his first carp 7lbs and I only managed two 5lbs fish. Needless to say he thought it was great fun beating Dad....

Used to do a bit of coarse fishing - was hopeless at it so took up shooting and spear fishing instead
Thoroughly enjoyed fly fishing and sea fishing in NZ though, especially eating the catch,
-
I used to fish for Brown Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon all the time when I was still living with my parents on the farm.
I haven't been fishing once since 1992
Note to self: Must make time for more leisure.

Used to do a lot sea fishing when I lived in Plymouth...here's me pulling a large Pollack from a wreck near Sark in the Channel Isles

Sadly living in the Midlands we're a bit far from the sea for regular trips. I've still got a little 17' boat which is okay for inshore work. Mostly we use it on the River Avon for trolling (pike/zander/perch) when the water is clear enough.

ive changed it but ive had a bad day. got to get 14 cattle, 18 lambs and 4 pigs ready for a show on thursday and had to do half a years worth of painting done in a day
-
in my opinion you cant beat a spot of fishing being out enjoying nature in the tranquility of things think thats why a lot of lanes are so good you get to see views that you wouldnt experience from the road.

He he.....reminds me of The Swinge tidal race off Alderney.
-
yeh you dont have to lie that you're into a pollack to us jock you can admit that you've hooked the plug for the sea we wont laugh...
Much
-
I don't do the fishing thing myself except down the chippy!
My brother has a salmon farm in France where he has these 6 lakes of about 30 acres each and one of them has been left to "settle" and in it there is some 50lb+ carp.
I have a freind who is fishing mad, he even has a tattoo of a carp on his arm, he runs http://defiantmps.com/ which I belive is popular with fishermen.
-
thats right mate defiant make custom stainless rod pods built to order

not only do i also go fishing but i also get paid for it
only trouble is i have to take 2/3 behaviourally challenged kids on the average day trip and 6-8 on a week long trip :( :(
but the up side is we do have some nice children and i get to choose who goes on what trips - which does lead to some trips that are bordering on jollies !!
-
at least your getting something out of it red a kid loves it when they catch there first fish wether it be a perch or a carp they still have the same meaning for the first one.
-
Well all I can say is the outdoor life suits me fine.
Load up the tackle, drive off round the lakes, camp rough for a few nights, catch a few carp, then bog off up the dales or somewhere and do it all again except this time on the green lanes and without the fishin'.
Way to go . . . . . . :D :D :D
Here's a Yorkshire 30 pounder
