Fred Dibnah - My Hero!

I was gutted when he died, loved everything about the man and he was a superb engineer.

UK History sometime show full weekends of Fred Dibnah.

One episode which always makes me chuckle, is when the family go off to Blackpool in the Landy and the kids are only young then, he leaves them and his wife playing on the sand while he tends to one of his jobs talk about a man mixing work with pleasure

A great man, not many left like him I suppose.

I met and drank with Fred.  Lovely  bloke and an absolute honour to have enjoyed his aquaintance.   From a business point of view, him and Eddie Stobart are my idols.  Both men have (had) strict morals and a certain etiquette.

Then took Alison to help him ladder the chimney (at the pressure vessel company) in the rain

What a cracking start

This has the makings of an excellent series, especially if it continues to have contributions by Sheila (his widow), Alf Molyneux & Jimmy Crooks (who bot accompanied him in the 'Made In Britain' series)
