I have seen a B reg 2.5 na D truck cab 90 for sale locally and wondered what its really worth.
Bad points are:
Rear X member is grotty and could do with new one.
Springs/shocks are tired.
Seats are tatty.
Front diff leaking.
Transfer box leaking.
A bar welded on badly
All plastics and window rubbers hamerited !!!
Tailgate different colour(green)
Paint tired.(blue)
Truck cab is white.
Few dents in the panels but nothing major
Good points:
Starts well with very small chuff of smoke.
Speedo reads 102k ?
5 good A/T tyres.
10 months MOT.
3 Months TAX.
Chap is asking £1200 !
Seems a lot for condition ?
I have not driven it yet .
I had a good check/knock of chassis and other than X member seems very solid.
It has been undersealed though which can hide stuff.
Whats it really worth ? ? ?
I am after a cheap hack for a few months while I finish the rangie.
I Have some good springs and figured I could sort welding when MOT runs out by which point rangie will be finished.

£700 sound expensive to me, nevermind £1200. i'd either ask him to fix it or knock the price down 50%.
After all its a B-reg. You may well have lots of other suprises turn up at mot time.
Look around for one, in better condition.

In my opinion a very tired landy is not worth bothering with. They cost you far more then they will ever be worth. Ir you're just after a stopgap for a few months buy a cheap car.

bought my 90 for a 1/4 o that & only good point was the new chassis, rest o it was rough

I need a 4x4 for work and ideally a LR as I can add my products and use it as a prototype when rangie is finished.
A chap on LROi forum has one for £1700 looks ok and he is fairly close so may have a look.
I think I will leave the one local to me as it is tatty and I dont want loads of work at MOT.
I dont want to spend more than 1.5K really as it is only a stop gap.

I only fancy a 90 as it will enable me to develope parts for 90/110s and have a bit of fun at a few play days. :)
I am not overlly bothered about performance or fuel econemy as it is a second vehicle.
I would actually like a V8 but they seem a bit scarce. :(
I know for another 2.5 naD for £1700 ish with lots of new parts.
Hope to have a look tommorrow.
Thanks for the info on the other 90 but I need something MOT'd and TAX'd.
