Am I just getting even more cynical in me old age ?
I thought this world cup was dreadful.
Boring games. awfull decisions but some great acting.
More red cards all round I say
* edit - not a big footie fan ere btw

I packed, cleaned the cooker, cleaned the floors, ironed while the WC (ha ha ha, just realised that one) was on.
Watching paint dry would be more interesting than watching over paid pansies play acting.

I voted no ... I reckon it was the worst bit of the World Cup  And completely pre-meditated.
The commentators were trying to find something to justify his actions - nothing could! He's a very famous football player, playing in the final of the biggest football game and being watched by millions (including millions of kids).
I hope he gets a hefty fine ... what a prat
-
just glad its over as it makes my job easier, :D less beer to deliver to the pubs.
-
Ok is it just me but if you did that in the street the police would do you for assault. So were wear the police ?

Completlely agree....I understand Zidane could yet face assault charges.
-
i knew this wouldnt take long...
:)
its supposed to be animated btw
-
And then voted man of the match?????????????????// That just beggars belief....
-
That was really odd, he put his head down and charged at him like a raging bull... the Italian was lucky, an inch up and his chin would have been a bloody mess!
He got the last laugh though thats for sure
Best bit of the world cup? hmm well it was nothing i couldnt see in my local high street come saturday night but i suppose it was!
-
he may be stripped of his title if fifa get their way since the vote for the player was taken at half time, before he nutted that italian
-
I feel sorry for him tho- the latest news is that his mother was ill, and had been hospitalised that morning, and the italian player said "your mother's a w***e"
Any other day and Zidane would have been ok, but it just touched a nerve.
I personally feel that any proper "sportsman" wouldnt resort to name calling OR violence.
