Subject: [ORDER ID 0220712] WorldPay Chargeback
Send: Wed, 12 Jul 2006 14:50:16 +0100
Hello
My name is Dave and I am from the Support of WorldPay.
We have received the payment order (ID 0220712,Receipt Date 09/07/2006) from you and we need to
make a verification of the details you have filled in, as we have received a notice from your card
service stating that there was a chargeback made by the owner of the card with which you have made
the payment and that your level of authorization has been altered during your last transaction.
This is a very serious matter. We have deducted the amount of the chargeback, GBP 149.89, from
your account and added our standard fee of GBP 24.00 as well (you can see your payment details in
the attachment).
We have failed to contact you using the telephone number you have provided earlier, meeting no
response.
As a precaution, we have limited access to your account in order to protect against future
unauthorized transactions. Please understand that this is a security measure intended to help
protect you and your personal information.
Please contact your credit card company to resolve this matter.
Best Regards,
Dave Gollick

Worldpay are a genuine company, I regularly make payments through them. Their web site is at http://www.worldpay.co.uk/
They are aware of the bogus emails and have a warning on the home page.

Wolfie

I wouldn't if I were you, then the system will have your e-mail address and it will very quickly become jam packed with spam.

etc etc etc
considering I dont have a worldpay account and have never used worldpay its a good trick that they have my card details etc etc
the more worrying thing thogh is there is an attachment on the mail - if you try and open it this is the alert you get
Virus "Downloader" found.
The file attached to this message was infected with a virus that we were unable to clean. You should not download this attachment.
DONT OPEN IT - delete immeadiantly would be the advice here now just to run virus scan as precaution

I havn't has that one yet, but I'm getting snowed under with the bludy things
'Can I clear some ill gotten gains through my bank account'
Well I fealt like replying saying I am a bankrupt and if you pay money into my account it will be seized by my creditors, but Julie pointed out that half the time they are just waing for a reply so I ignore them. Some are laughable, do I really look like I came down in the last shower?
