I've into been to Leeds this morning to look at a new toy :-$
As I on my way in & had just come off the 'feeder' that joins Hunslet Road near Guy Salmons & South Accomodation, this 110 windowed Hard-Top pulled in front of me.
An interestingly laid out plate
-
I presume that is P 1 GEE
It's very good, I was about to write a comment about legality, but then I realised I didn't have a piece of headgear to consume...
-
Very good - well spotted that man 8)

:-s errrrr, not sure, unless your after that steam engine.......
Now why should I go through Leeds to get to Barnard Castle??
(it's up the A1, more or less, in Teesdale)
No, it was something else, a fair bit cheaper as well
I think I've mentioned it on here before
-
nah it's pigee as in miss from the muppets.

4 pot or 8 pot?
-
I have a horrid feeling Bagheera II will not be an RR :( The new 2007 revamp leaves me cold. So ...... it's going to be a toss up between an Aston Martin or a Lambo...... *unless* the 2008 model RR is something special (with an Aston engine....yeeeeeeeees!)
-
4 pot or 8 pot?
Did I actually state it had an engine??
-
A new road bike?

A new road bike?
Or wheels????
Although, admitedly, I was looking at a new Trek (http://www.trekbike.co.uk/2007/bikes.php?sec=overview&MainCatID=1&SubCatID=1&RangeID=0&ID=171) the other day.
However, my Dyna-Tech titanium hasn't been out of the garage for an absolute age
So no, it's not a new bike.

Toss up between an Aston or a Lambo? Which one would look better with a 2" Lift, Mud-Terrains and covered in Mud-Club Stickers
*Insert comment about too much bloody money*

Hehe, it would be nice to even have the choice...without it being a dream!

Hmm, you buying a helecopter then BTM?
No, but I do know of 2 within, perhaps, 10miles (in a straight line) from here that live in the owners gardens.
Loads of money there
Not a helicopter, but there would be wire & wood involved.
In comparative terms, perhaps as expensive?
-
GLIDER
-
Or biplane of some description. Sopwith Camel anyone? :D
-
GLIDER
Mmm :?
It's certainly making y'all think
Oh & a proper DIY plane (http://www.spitfireaircraftco.com/) (I want one of those
-
i'll hazard a guess (prepares to duck back under the parapet)
Could it be along the lines of a threshing machine seeing as you appear to be a fan of things ancient and agricultural ?
Trev

It'd be nice alnong with a ploughing engine, haven't got the room though.
However, this pair of Fowler ploughing engines
(http://www.cheffins.co.uk/catalogues/images/vintage/tractorssteam/2006/VINT0607t/1695.jpg)
Which were named 'Fame' & 'Fortune' just went to auction & realised £148,000 for the pair

Trev
What are you implying about my Landie & my wife? :x
Nice guess, but still wrong

Okay, I've wound you all up enough. You'll find a clue somewhere in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLwPXIO2l70&search=Brian%20Setzer)
(could be a differant colour though..)

I added whilst posting on 'T&T' a question about another type of stringed instrument, that I don't think I can justify £1900 to SWMBO on a guitar, especially as I hadn't even picked one up in 20years until that Gretsch
However, if I could play like this man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfyYSPQY4mQ&search=Brian%20Setzer) I'd find a way of justifying spending it
Beatles??
No, not for me
-
Out of curiosity
I've just been pricing up the Gretsch 6120SSLVO (http://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?product=G6120SSLVO&cat1=&cat2=Artist+Signature+Models&q=&st=1) I mentioned above, as that's the signature model I'd like.
In the US it's $4,400, which equates to UK £2,362, plus all the import duties, distributors cut, shop mark-up, VAT, etc... ........
I don't think I'll dare ask the 'bottom line' price for it
-
like the rev horton heat model mate

Yes it was quite sweet, but it's the Setzer range for me
Although the 'Regal Blue' 6120 does nothing for me
(http://www.gretschguitars.com/repository/gretsch/images/G6120SHB_md.jpg)
The 'Green Tiger Flame' isn't too bad
(http://www.gretschguitars.com/images/6120SSUGR_beauty.jpg)
-
No the one for me has to be the 'Setzer Signature' SSLVO (Vintage Orange Lacquer) :(biglove):
As seen on the cover of the 'Cats' first LP
(which reminds me, a Double-Bass would be fun, played one a couple of times  )
-
I would prefer a Stratocaster....Hendrix had one and could play with his teeth!!

Without wishing to get into a musical arguement, is that really playing, or just showmanship?
Surely it's all over-dubs & effects pedals, etc....?
Setzer hardly uses any effects to get his sound
