Yes, another Ackworth exhibit
A bit more 'run of the mill' this time.
But, once more.
When did you last see one???

"Haven't Seen One Of These For Ages"
Coming from the opposite angle,
I see one of these every time I go out or come in the house, 'cos it's parked on my drive,

One of my brothers had one of those about 20 years ago.
He had a 'home made' exhaust he welded together from old bits stacked in a pile behind a local garage, and it sounded the dogs until you saw what was making the noise

Yuck, that brings back some BAAAD memories. Ex girlfriend's Grandad had one. Once had to collect from about twent miles away 'cos he had a "turn". That was more than the motor would do!! Must have been about 1" play in the steering, gear change was like stirring porridge with a stick and the only braking was the hand brake. I still have nightmares...
Best of was that it passed it's MOT every year, the local garage took £200 off him and merrily sent him on his way. I think the only reason he survived was co he never exceeded 20 mph (in top)

Haven't seen one of those for ages....... but my eye was drawn to the previous picture of the Hustler (http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2104281950047309372CvnTaC).
I've still got the 'brochure' from them. Was thinking of building one of the Hellcats many years ago, the stripped out version with knobbly tyres! A bit like a Moke with attitude!
The one in the pic looks like one of the GRP ones. The original design by William Towns (Aston Martin, believe it or not!) was ash framed and the panels were marine plywood. But it just didn't sell. Wonder why??! So they had to do a steel framed, GRP paneled version..... which also didn't sell too well
