Wow! each time it refreshes, the strike count goes up a whole chunk  What are the +CG, -CG, +1C and -1C references?
Has someone in the west midlands done something to upset a certain person 'upstairs'??? Right now, it looks like he's *really* angry!!
-
most disapointing .... a few spots of rain and a few claps of thunder
-
not sure what they mean but have something to do with the type of lighting strike . still a cool bit of softwere

Trailmasters lost a 110 in the storm. Tree took it out. That was about 50 foot from the mud-club stand which Eeyore, Miss Roadrage, Scutter and their son helped hold down......
We are a bit wet. Apparently a non-touchdown tornado ripped through.....various flat caravans, missing tents, gazebos in tree etc.....oh joy.

It was really bad, we could see the clouds, so we made our way back to the car, on the way the rain started. Boy was it good to watch from stood under the porchway to a hut on the site! As we finally got to the cars there were all manner of response vehicles arriving, do you know what they were for anyone?
The show was good though, did anyone see the wedding, I told my girlfriend that we were going to do the same... I hope she starts talking to me again soon!
-
Shame I'm not going this year  my solar panel usually gets a good roasting at Billing. Sorry I'm not bring the good weather with me
Must have been a good party last night looking at the pictures, a bit like any town centre on a Saturday or Sunday morning

That's bad about the 110 & tent.
I thought I had problems running 300yards for the Mondeo at Xscape at about 18:00.
Still had wet undies after an hour sat eating in the Pizza Hut
-
More pics... the Trailmasters 110 & a caravan both cushioned trees or substantial sections of them
AFAIK no one was hurt.
-
I wish I could think of something constructive to say
But all I can think of is Holy Sh*t
-
im glad everyone is ok :D shame about the 110 and the tent but atleast it was not people

I don't know what the + & - are for but the CG stands for "Cloud to Ground" as in a lightning strike from the cloud to the ground. I think the C is for in cloud lightning like when you get sheet lightning.
Looking at this lot I'm quite glad I decided not to go to Billing this year.
-
Ah the joys of camping
Glad to hear no-one hurt though

No snow but definately hail stones.......only small though bout the size of mint imperials........ still quite a scary place to be yesterday

Yup was a pretty grim storm here Saturday afternoon. I had the misforturne to be out walking in shorts & teeshirt. It got very dark before the rain & lightning- first time I've seen the streetlights come on during a summer afternoon.
Glad no-one was hurt at Billing. I understand the emergency services here in Warks were busy with a couple of CG's.

112 and first medic paniced and just called in the Cavilery. I dont say I blame them tbh. As I said to Old joe, Another 10/15 mins of the main part of the storm and it may have been a different matter.
Jakes pic misses me about 3 foot to the right hanging onto may gazebo trying not to do a mary poppins :)
-
mary poppins eh,
was more like dorothy in that storm.
good weekend tho guys

I got soaked through at Rossington yesterday, the heavens opened and everyone dived into the superstore i was delivering to to escape the rain. I ran 30 feet and ended up dripping wet...There was actually a lightning strike just up the road from us about 200 yards, it was amazing as the water on the road actually glowed from the strike. On top of this the roof of the shop was leaking...or should i say wide open  within 5 mins the water was 3-4 inches deep. I left during the rain and roads all around were at least a foot deep in water and a few roads were closed due to damage. One junction i came to at the bottom of a hill had a spout of water shooting up approx 7 maybe 8 feet in the air out of a manhole and all the road surface around it was damaged and washed out. what a day...
