forget about Billing after the weather on Saturday, are the on site toilets and showers
Someone had certainly had fun on the Friday night, as we found out on the Saturday morning to our disgust.
It seemed this year that there was a lack of cleaners during the day compared to other years.
-
Where were you then ? I thought the ones near us were well kept..and cleaned...

We went in the Farmer's field this year after spending a couple of years in Billing. Can remember how bad those toilets were! :-&
But the toilet's in the field were kept clean and with hot and cold running water aswell as a standpipe, we wouldn't hesitate to use his field again. No electric but you can't have everything can you

Must say in defence of the cleaners for the shower block and toilet block near us, they started at 7 am and were still going at 10pm. It must be difficult trying to keep the areas clean with some of the animals who were obviously staying on site. My question is, what do the parents teach their kids because i cannot believe it would be adults that would do that sort of thing.
The showers were crap really, no water pressure so you had to lean against the wall to get wet. I dont think i have ever seen water flow so slowly from a tap / shower head before. Still would have no hesitation in stopping there again, might even get one of those handy DIY shower things, great piece of kit.

Sat Night them showers were ripe. Really Really nasty. I suspect the heat didnt help but still.
One of the Girls at GR camp a month back had one of those solar showers and the water in it got nice and toasty, easilly warm enough for a good shower.

Some friends of mine went to the Download festival at Donnington. One girl qued for ages for a shower - only to find a large brown deposit in the cubicle that became vacant.
she left unshowered!
Some people are worse than animals - makes you wonder what their homes are like!

We have found that on other sites.
It is strange how people behave when someone eklso has to clean up !
I have a solar shower !
Great things and simple too.
You can make one with a water container and push on shower thingy from £1 shops :?:
I bought a pukka one but no different really.
Not so good in winter though

I just use a watering can filled with warm water, usually boiled on the stove. String it up between a tree/pole etc and the landy, small piece of string round the neck and a gentle tug....voila, one shower. Crude but effective. I use the same idea when i'm on HGV tramping work or abroad for a few weeks at a time. The can is rigged between the unit wind deflectors.
