Thanks! It's just starting in the UK, so you'll have either order most of it from the US, or fabricate ityourself. I chose the latter

Old thread, I know, but I thought I'd show some updated pics. Did anyone actually build one? 'Cause I've spotted a few new UK crawlers on RCCrawler.com

Try asking that question when your waiting for batteries to charge.

Then again, whalst your waiting for batteries they are trying fruitlessly to get the nitro to run properly.

Make it yourself. It costs pence and you'll know the limitations of it before you even started.  :)

right.......... ive been ignoring my RC urges for ages now But just watched this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiqhefEOOZ4&mode=related&search= & i want to know what kit the beetle buggy is running & also what one the jeep is
Title: R.C. ROCK CRAWLERS
Post by: Xtremeteam on October 08, 2006, 13:29:15
& also where can i get a complete kit or what would be the best starting point

Right then, the yellow beetle was running Tamiya TLT axles, a Traxxas stampede trannsmission, 2.2" rims and Masher 2000 tyres.

The red jeep was running Tamiya Clodbuster axles, thecrawlerstore.com stick chassis, Proline MOAB XL tyres and Proline 40 series wheels, which you need a 12mm-23mm adapter to fit to the clod axles.

I recommend the site in my sig for more info, practically a "Mudclub for rccrawlers"

Cheers 8)

Just bought a TLT to start building a krawler, just had an idea thought, wonder how hard it would be to copy a tomcat in a tube frame

I just got back from a 3 week trip in the USA and one of my cases was full of crawler bits, ie. 1 set of Proline Moab XL's & 4 x Commando bead lock rims (I have just narrowed them down to 2")  a set of 4 billet hubs, pair of 55t Integy lathe motors, Novak EVX speed controller, a second set of Nylint wheels & tyres (£6.00 new), 9 tooth pinions, adjustable motor mounts, 25 x traxxas rod ends.......... and loads more...

Thought it looked cool when I saw r/c crawling a couple of years ago, so thought I'd have a go. Going to build myself a 17" wheelbase tuber, thats one built with a space framed chassis instead of the ally side plates.

yes I know I need to get out more!!!

I'll post some pic's when I get round to it.
