Had the test firing of the 200Tdi in the 90 today. Can't get the oil pressure light to come on at all. It still has the Disco switch in it wired to the defender wiring and warning lihgt. Can't see why this won't work so suspect the switch is kn**kered. Any one know how to test one?
Oil Pressure switch seems to be the only serious problem though. Have got a brake warning light on which wasn't before but haven't touched the brakes at all, so before any one says have I wired the oil pressure switch to the brake warning circuit, no I haven't.
Does anybody have any pictures of how a Td exhaust is hung? I have a load of bits from Craddocks and no idea how to put them all together. Quite liked the noise of the engine running on the downpipe, but not sure the neighbours will.

Throw out the oil switch and fit a mechanical oil pressure gauge, more reliable and less electrics to go wrong

hiya,
if you disconnect the switch then earth the wire the light should come on.
if it does then it is the switch.if it doesn't it must be the wiring or bulb.
hope this helps.

Certainly did help, switch kn**kered. Got a new one, got a light, fired up light went out. Thanks.
