I don't yet have a manual for my Disco 1 and I need to check out the bulbs in the rear drivers side cluster. I have no sidelight nor brake light and I suspect they ar on the same bulb as the indicator, revers & fog lights all work.
Do I need to take apart the dickie seats and all the trim to get in?
Advice from you more experienced Disco owners would be gratefully received!

The easiest way unless you have are a trained contortionist, or have a very biddable 7year old is to remove the seats.
It's annoying to have to do so, but only the bottom 2 pivot-bolts require removing
They're a TORX 30, or 35, then a cross-head screw for the trim-cover
Be aware the plastic nuts holding the cluster in place can be tight

Thanks matey.... Guess I'll be doing some cursing tonight then...

Oh, & don't lose the sealing gasket under the light unit, or you'll have a leak.
Put a touch of vaseline, or silicone grease on the cluster threads & run the nuts up & down a couple of times before re-installation.
They'll re-fit easier.

Managed to get mine out with the seat's still in, but have got the scratch marks on my arms to prove it  ,

Did that yesterday trying to get the bottom radiator hose for my wifes RRC V8 with Air con & LPG, off and back on again.
Suppose I could go for the matching set!
Don't suppose anyone has access to a digital image of the layour they could let me see...?
