Title: Todays Good Deed,,,nearly..
Post by: Jas278 on August 14, 2006, 12:03:06: Gave a hand but shifting 20 is a bit much for a disco........Put the winch on which has a 10 ton pull but there were parts off the truck burying itself and when the clutch starting smelling a wee bit on the truck the driver decided to give in rather than really face the rath...of his boss......

I suppose it depends on the depth of the tarmac & sub-base, but it is close to the edge of it

On a similar note, I was heading along the A64 yesterday afternoon (16:30-ish?) towards the A1 & spotted a Police Land-Cruiser that was about to (or had) tow a artic & tanker trailer off the east-bound carriageway to the south of York

Tried forwards aswell...........Driver reckoned nearly 20 ton so .just too much........
