ok now im lost finally swopped my alloys and road tyres 235/70 r 16`s for some colway 235/70 r16s thinking they will be the same no worries about clearance.........
Wrong  cant reverse park at my dads house now cos the camber tears the front valance with some lock on and just today i find the ring quarter just under the door has been torn out and is sticking sharply out upwards...
so is it
a. the tyres even though there 235/70 r 16 are too big with the agressive tread
b. suspension is tired and needs me to winge at my dearest linda about letting me lift the old gal :)

remoulds are generally a bit bigger than new tyres Matey.

What wheels are the newer tyres on?
:?

Hi there, I put some part worn Colway MT's 235x70x16 with no bad effects except they were bl@@dy noisey. However I will be putting a small lift on my 200tdi so I have the option of larger tyres.
Cheers

Maybe the off set of the wheel is causing you a problem?
:?

i have 265,s on my disco but have a 1" lift via spacers on , they dont catch cos they are on standard steels so the off set,s not there that you have with 8 spokes
Noisy??? tell me about it i spent 4 hours driving to wales for BB3 with em , boy was i fed up with em when i got there

 lol ok i gotta ask why should the offset affect my car ?
these wheels came of my dads 300 tdi he didnt have any problems like this :?
the only differance is he has a 3 door and his front bumper doesnt have the fogs in the valance
