Title: What breather for Auto box?
Post by: nishikigoi on August 14, 2006, 23:30:43
Right then...

Green lanes have thus far not required the use of a ford as a car wash for my new Disco......yet

I need to sort a wade kit out and seeing as I supply a local trade hose emporium on the Slough trading estate with BioDiesel, I'd get my bits (yes I could use wizard, but I don't pay just swap here!) What do I need for the auto box, I've heard I don't need a thing :?

Also what is the thread for the breathers in to the diffs and the T/box etc?

So much to do.....so little time

My tdi auto has 2 x axle, 1 x t/box and 1 x g/box breathers raised.

You should find two breather pipes poking up behind the block.
They lead back to the gear/trans box.

The threads are 1/8 bsp on the axles and gearbox/transfer box

Now that's not so much customer service as non-customer service...**Scratches head...** No.. that don't work!

Nice one either way Wizard!

BTW... thanks for the extra breather bits via eBay last month!

Hi Skibum

I know i have proberly lost a sale or two, but info like that is easy enough to find, and hopefully some people would rather get a kit delivered to their door rather than mess about trying to source the bits.

Glad you recieved you breathers OK.

Absolutely, I'm only going to source my own because I can swap Biofuel for the breather bits, makes my kit cost about £5 8)
