just interested to know what mileage other people are getting out of their tyres on a disco 11 with the 18 inch wheels.
mine are two years old and covered 22000 miles and still look good, they are the standard goodyear ones.
anybody?

I've got 16" rims with BFG All Terrains. I put them on about 36,000 miles ago and they're not really even half worn, despite driving through deserts on them. I was hoping to put 265/75s on instead of my 235/85s but I think the car will be worn out before the tyres!

I've got 18' rims with the original Wrangler tyres and at 64000 I think they are about due for replacement, will see what the MOT Tester says in Oct! As far as I know only used off road for one weekend the rest of the time has been road mileage.

64 000 is good. for some reason I wanted mine to wear out quickly so that I could put a set of General Grabber AT's on and justify the cost to SWMBO. looks like I will have to wait a while then :( :( :(

Have got SWMBO to agree to Colway A/Ts, as I don't think I'll need new wheels for them when I need to change them, place near me is cheapest I've found and the owner is a Mud-Clubber so will be going there.

what about trying the new Cooper ones that LROI are so keen on?
-
just done over 26k on original wrangler tyres. - at last service still about 3mm left - so still legal but would want to change before the winter kicks in -
I didn't think the cooper st / sst tyres were available in a size to fit disco 18" rims ?
I know its probably elsewhere on the forum - but what's the alternative choices to the wranglers :?:

general grabbers a/t are the only all terrain tyres for 18 inch rims apparently
