Does anyone know where i can get a set of ramps that will take the weight of the 90, and also cope with the wide tyres.
All the local motor factors either say "we dont sell them anymore due to EU legislation" or "itll take a tyre of 185 width and up to 1 tonne" - neither of which are any good.

Try the difflock store on eBay ;)
-
Just checked...none there :(
-
try a local engineering firm if they could knock something up for you on the side in exchange for beer tokens
-
We've got some we've had for years, they didn't seem to strain, although they looked to be about 235 wide as they just fit the 110s wheels.
As said above, I'd vote fabrication shop/blacksmiths.

-
Try here http://tinyurl.com/p8xv3
-
Don't bother it only takes you to the home page  As above search for ramps on the home page, £50 inclusive of VAT OUCH!!
-
i'd say 50 is reasonable
bear in mind, once your under the car, if they fail you could die.
-
Machine Mart??
-
Go to the difflock website and type in "Car ramps" in the search box, that'll bring up heavy duty ramps.
-
BTM - Machine mart are the people who told me they dont sell them cos of EU legislation anymore
looks like Difflock is the place to get them.
Thanks Chaps.

I'm sure we do some 2 tonne ones at work, they're kin heavy mind ! As for the width surely its not much of an issue ? Big chunky tyres will cope fine and smaller ones will fit on ok ....
I use some old ones, look like the cheapo ones from haulfrauds, no idea on the weight handling but they never complain so far!
-
remember you are only loading one wheel 1 ramp, so you wont be lifting 2 ton on the pair let alone one
I have a set of old car ramps that were my fathers which we used back in the 70s, when cars did weigh as much as landys, built from angle iron, it holds anything I put on them
