Nope, and tbh I think there's always SOMETHING you'd like to improve, no matter how small.

I'd like mine running for a start...

No matter what age or make/model, you can either find something wrong if you look hard enough or the problem will surface

I have a 1 year old meriva diesel, started showing engine management light then another one came on, turned out to be bad contact on the two block connectors going into the ecu.

Unplugged them cleaned the contacts with wd40 dried them off, no more warning lights :D

What chance has a 30plus year old landy got to keep going without any faults :?

To be honest with landys you expect problems so they are no surprise, just a list with priorities on certain jobs, the rest in theback of the mind filed under (when I get time)

If its not a new shiny bit then it's the MOT, which is on moday and the exhaust resembles a culinder. Of course i'm happy

Oooh what a risky thing to say !!!!!
Personally can't see the point in having a Landie unless you are constantly tinkering/ improving

Im totally happy with my PAJ, but wish it was a Landy -if only they could make a Landy as reliable as the Paj,
TBH if you have a truck with no ECU , no EGR, no electric gizzmos,
but have low tech deisel ,doors with window winders, cart springs, you will have a reliable truck-that spec sounds like a lightwieght , oh well!cant win em all,

Ive fitted buckets and the front seats to the rear...just need to put the mounts in for my harnesses....then id like a 90 tfr case and a underdrive and an lpg system and the 3.9 im tinkering with finishing and fitting and a side awning and tree sliders on my sill protectors and my rear bumper finishing and a bespoke storage system..... oh yeah im nearly done

I spotted you hiding at the bottom of the "50 crucial modifications" feature, no prizes for guessing which modification they were thinking of

There can't be too much you want to change on yours now can there  :?:  :?

Not entirely.

I'd like it to be higher geared, as I thnik 2000RPM at just under 50MPH is far too high
Cheapest option is the high-range gearing, but then I loose the 'absolute towing factor' when I need it
GKN overdrive is too expensive at the moment

I'd also like a better steering lock/smaller turing circle

Satisfied with the MPG though :D

Yes 100% happy with both my Pajero's.
There is the wish list and what you want it to do,but they are reliable and there is no charecteristic rust when you slam the doors and it doesnt perspire fluids like Landies.
So money and time spent, is on things I want to do to it, not what i have to do to it.

So Graham you have a wish list??
Then you cant be 100% happy can you...or you wouldnt want to modify/alter anything.
Which pajeros have you got? I have a 2.8 shogun and had a 2.5 pajero - the 2.5 is a crap engine for wading....as the cambelt cover allows mud in which kills the belt in short order... i know

Well Bulli it is a wish list at the moment the only real mod is turning up torsion bars and M/T's. oh yeah and throwing all the rear seats away.
both 2.5 swb 1xmanual 1991 1x auto 1992.
The thing is it doesnt need mods, it will go happily anywhere, so i am 100% happy with both my Paj's.
Athough 2.8 has more poke etc. it is more expensive to repair and uses more diesel, more expensive to insure, more expensive to buy.
Bet you use the 2.5 more off road!
The 2.5 Auto cost me a lot more than the manual and came with rear air locker and has never been stuck anywhere and no mods apart from stainless bullbar which isnt helping it in anyway but people have stopped bumping into it in supermarket carpark's!
But as i said its because i want to change things not have got to.
But im still 100% happy.

Graham, i no longer have the 2.5 the engine was never the same after it took out all the followers....
If you havent got stuck - you arent trying hard enough!!
the rear locker helps big time but you can still get stuck

I'm really happy with my rangie

Just went cornwall and back no probs, really comfy & nice to drive, took a few toughish tracks easily as well despite the road tyres. Stainless rimmer exhaust sounds awesome  8)  Averaged 20mpg as well  :D

God, this post is asking for something major to suddenly break TOUCH WOOD, TOUCH WOOD, TOUCH WOOD!!!

Ah sheffield .. happy days ... I went to uni there and lived out in Edale in Derbyshire for about 7 years ... ah the memories -- ah the far better alcoholic beverages ... gimme a good bitter ... and that coming from a Scotsman.

Oh but on the point I'm 100% happy but then I'll be 100% happy when I get lots of mods and 100% happy when i get even more - in fact I'm just 100% happy
