hi all


  Just woundering if you can use household flex from the spots to the relay, or is there some different cable for D.C wirering. any help would be good

aslong as the amount of amps that the cable can carry is more than that the spotlights use

2.5 mm cable or 28.03 is the corret size

I a word yes, just check current handling. 2Core flex is often used on cars for lights etc, I seem to recall the factory fitted spots on the Audi is 2 core mains wire.

do you calculate the cable size for d.c the same as a.c  eg 500w devided by 230v=2.2 amp so for d.c it would be 500w devided by 12v= 41.5 amps

I got my 2 core in hardwear store. I am using 7 core trailer wire for the LR90 as want to have several sets and dont mind having spare core or 2 up there for future projects

yes, same furmula for AC as DC
