An angle grinder will undo any nut, even the most rusted one. (you may have to replace the stud after though

hows that gonna work?
im guessin its an alloy wheel cos no 1 i know fits locking nuts to steels,so the nut is gonna be recessedinto the wheel?
either bash on a larger impact socket or get a nut welded ontot he locking nut

correct - was trying to wip the alloys off to stick my mud's on - but the new locking nut split -again - so when theyre off the won't be going back on
Just need to find some more locking nuts that are a better design.
Cheers

I have locking nuts on my rangie with steels as they are 33"s so cost a bit. I also have them on my 90 as they are gen deepdish with BFGs !
I would find a socket that fits and then use next size down. Knock on with hammer and should undo.
This used to work on old motors with 17mm but obviuosly LR are larger.
If not get some comercial supa glue and stick ratchet on !!
You think I am joking  ???? I bought some glue the other day that is incredible !! :)
Was £20 for the set but great stuff ! :)

Hi,
are you talking locking nuts or those stupid covers with the even more stupid plastic thing to pull them off?
I removed all the covers to my locking nuts as i broke two of the stupid plastic things and now just clean them every now and then!!!
Regards
Ela

I used this on a Ford Galaxy a while ago, worked a treat. almost quicker than hunting for the security key. My Ex wife kerbed all the alloys repeatedly to make them unattractive to thieves and they are still on the car two years later without security locks.

That's what she told you anyway
Sounds a good excuse though
